We are a dynamic and growing practice seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join our Brooklyn office. While the primary focus of this position is real estate transactions, candidates with matrimonial/family law experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as cross-departmental support will be needed.

 

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing.
  • Draft and review real estate documents including contracts of sale, deeds, transfer documents, closing statements, and title/survey reviews.
  • Coordinate closings with lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage due diligence processes and monitor contract timelines.
  • Order and review title reports, coordinate clearance of title issues.
  • Organize and manage closing binders and post-closing documentation.
  • Maintain internal case files and document management systems.
  • Perform e-filings and handle court submissions as needed (state and federal).
  • Support family/matrimonial law matters, including document drafting, discovery, and calendaring deadlines.
  • Communicate directly with clients, lenders, and third parties in a professional manner.
  • Maintain and manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and track critical dates.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal or Legal Administrative Assistant.
  • Experience in matrimonial or family law is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with NY real estate practice and court procedures.
  • Strong drafting and document management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and legal practice tools (Westlaw).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
