Abrams Fensterman, LLP is pleased to share that Julia L. Santo, Esq., a member of the firm’s Elder Law & Estate Planning Group, will serve as a featured speaker for an upcoming community program hosted by Good Neighbors of Park Slope.

The presentation, Stay in Control: Avoiding Guardianship with Smart Planning,” will take place virtually on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM.

Designed for individuals and families planning for the future, the program will provide a practical overview of guardianship proceedings in New York and highlight proactive strategies to help avoid the need for court intervention. Julia will guide attendees through essential planning tools—including Health Care Proxies and Powers of Attorney—that can preserve autonomy, streamline decision-making, and protect loved ones.

This session reflects Abrams Fensterman’s ongoing commitment to community education and empowering individuals with the knowledge needed to navigate complex legal and health care decisions.

Hosted by Good Neighbors of Park Slope, a nonprofit organization supporting aging-in-place for adults 55+, the event is free and open to the public, with registration required.
