Albert J. Pirro, Jr. Strategic Withdrawal of Harrison Development

Albert J. Pirro, Jr. was featured in Westfair Business Journal for representing Stagg Group in the withdrawal of its application to develop a 140-unit residential building in Harrison, NY. In a statement, Pirro emphasized the company’s responsiveness to community and municipal concerns regarding floodplain impacts.

“Stagg Group has heard the concerns of both the Harrison Town Board and area residents, and as such has withdrawn its current application. The Town will now seek a grant from the State of New York Environmental Facilities Corporation to address certain improvements in the Beaver Swamp Brook and its surrounding properties, including Park Avenue… Future plans for the property are being evaluated.”

Stagg proposed over $1 million in offsite improvements to address local flooding and engaged top-tier consultants to develop a compliant and community-sensitive plan.

Pirro is a member of the Envrionmental, Land Use and Zoning practice group working out of the firm’s White Plains office.
