Abrams Fensterman Partner Albert J. Pirro, Jr. will be a featured speaker at the continuing legal education program titled “New York Land Use and Zoning From Start to Finish” presented by the National Business Institute (NBI). Joining as speakers from Abrams Fensterman’s White Plains office are Executive Partner Robert Spolzino, Partner Joseph Eriole, and Associate Michael Towey. This live online program will take place on November 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and will also be available on-demand for later viewing.
The team will lead multiple sessions covering land use and zoning fundamentals, case law updates, the approval process, variances and conditional use permits, and appeals of zoning decisions. Drawing from over four decades of experience in land use and development law, Pirro and the other panelists will discuss practical strategies for navigating complex approval processes, aligning projects with comprehensive plans, and addressing the legal and procedural challenges that often arise before municipal boards.
The program will provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of zoning procedures and the regulatory framework that governs land use decisions in New York State. This basic-to-intermediate level seminar is designed for attorneys, local zoning and land use professionals, developers, contractors, planners, engineers, and others involved in the development process. Participants will earn 6.0 Areas of Professional Practice CLE credits.
