Abrams Fensterman is proud to announce that Carolyn Reinach Wolf, Executive Partner and Director of the firm’s distinctive mental health law practice, has been named one of Long Island Business News’ 2025 “Influencers: Healthcare Law.” This annual accolade recognizes attorneys whose practice, leadership, and influence significantly shape the intersection of law and healthcare across Long Island and beyond.
Carolyn leads a one-of-a-kind, family‑centered mental health law practice, advising individuals, families, healthcare systems, educational institutions, and professionals facing issues from psychiatric treatment and guardianship to capacity, confidentiality, and compliance. Her work is grounded in deep subject-matter expertise and a commitment to ensuring that legal systems treat people with dignity and respect.
Carolyn’s leadership further extends into her service within bar and healthcare organizations. She served as President of the New York chapter of the Association for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) from 2007 to 2008, and has been a member of its Board of Directors since 1983. She remains a dedicated member of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Hospital & Health Law Committee and Lawyers Assistance Program Committee. In addition, she co-chairs the Mental Health Law Subcommittee of the New York State Bar Association’s Health Law Section. She also shares her expertise as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law and contributes to media discussions on mental health law and policy.
“In mental health law, the stakes are deeply personal. I consider it a privilege to stand with individuals and institutions navigating difficult choices, to protect rights, dignity, and clarity in moments of uncertainty,” says Wolf.
This latest honor builds on Carolyn’s extensive track record of recognition, including selections in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers. As a “Leader in Law: Healthcare,” she joins a distinguished group of legal professionals shaping the future of medical and mental health jurisprudence in our region.
