Abrams Fensterman Secures H-1B Transfer Approval for Employee’s Placement with Major Technology Company

Led by Executive Partner Ethan Gerber and Partner Raju Sundaran, Co-Chairs of the firm’s Immigration & Nationality Law Practice, Abrams Fensterman helped a business client secure approval for a Korean-speaking employee’s planned assignment in Texas.

Abrams Fensterman’s Immigration & Nationality Law Practice successfully represented a business client in obtaining approval of an H-1B change-of-employer petition, commonly referred to as an H-1B transfer. Executive Partner Ethan Gerber and Partner Raju Sundaran, Co-Chairs of the practice, led the successful representation.

The matter involved a South Korean national whose fluency in Korean was a key consideration for a major technology company seeking her services through the firm’s client. The planned placement would bring the employee to an assignment supporting the technology company’s operations in Texas.

Supporting a Client’s Business and Workforce Needs

The engagement required the client to secure the immigration approval needed for the contemplated employment arrangement. Abrams Fensterman assisted the client with the H-1B petition, which was submitted to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services under its Premium Processing Program.

On October 22, 2026, USCIS notified the firm that the petition had been approved, with a validity period extending through October 10, 2028.

The successful outcome supports the client’s ability to meet a specific business need by placing an employee whose language skills were particularly valuable to the proposed assignment.
