Friedman, Esq. will join the firm effective October 11, 2022, as a Partner and Chair of the firm’s Health Care Fraud and White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group.
Ms. Friedman comes to the firm from Healthfirst, a non-profit health insurance company sponsored by some of the most prestigious hospitals and healthcare systems in New York where she was Assistant Vice President of the Special Investigations Unit specializing in risk mitigation and eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse. She was also a Special Assistant Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the New York State Attorney General’s Office where she investigated and prosecuted complex Medicaid fraud matters, as well as, abuse and neglect cases of nursing home residents. In addition, Ms. Friedman served as an Assistant District Attorney, Investigations Division, Economic Crimes Bureau for nine years with the Bronx District Attorney’s Office where she managed and spearheaded a team of investigators, attorneys and cooperating witnesses in the development, investigation, and trial of multifaceted felony cases.
