Susan Mauro is a Partner at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP.
Ms. Mauro is one of the firm’s senior litigators. She is an experienced litigator at both the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Mauro’s area of practice includes primarily complex commercial litigation, as well as personal injury matters. She also has extensive experience handling complex insurance defense related litigation and health care litigation. Ms. Mauro is responsible for all aspects of litigation including trials, hearings, depositions, oral argument, meditations and arbitrations.
Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman in September of 2006, Ms. Mauro gained experience working as in house counsel and then outside counsel for various insurance companies. Prior to receiving her J.D., Ms. Mauro worked as a Paralegal Specialist in the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York where she assisted in the prosecution of major Columbian drug cartels in the Criminal Division’s Narcotics Unit and also assisted in the prosecution of significant white collar crimes.
Ms. Mauro earned her J.D. in 1996 from New York Law School and her B.S. cum laude in finance in 1991 from St. John’s University.
Ms. Mauro is a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association, Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association, Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn, the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association. Ms. Mauro was appointed to serve as a member on the Grievance Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association and named Treasurer of the Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association.
