Abrams Fensterman Partner, Danielle M. Visvader, Esq., head of our Guardianship Practice, has been invited to speak at the Long Island Regional Roundtable on Article 81 Guardianship taking place on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at SUNY Old Westbury.
Hosted by Project Guardianship, the roundtable will bring together judges, attorneys, nonprofit providers, and policymakers to confront the growing challenges facing New York’s Article 81 system—including the critical shortage of qualified guardians, lack of funding, and the burden placed on courts and social services.
Danielle was asked to participate based on her extensive experience representing incapacitated individuals, institutions, and fiduciaries across Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and Westchester, as well as her eligibility for appointments under Part 36. She regularly handles complex guardianship proceedings, Medicaid and advance-planning matters, and fiduciary real estate transactions, and has deep insight into both systemic gaps and practical solutions.
