In honor of National Mental Health Awareness Month, today we highlight Jamie A. Rosen, Partner in the Mental Health Law Practice at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP.

Jamie represents individuals and families as they navigate the complicated mental health legal and clinical systems. She handles mental hygiene legal matters including Article 81 guardianship proceedings, involuntary psychiatric treatment and retention hearings, Assisted Outpatient Treatment applications, and Mental Hygiene Warrant petitions. Given her experience in family law, Jamie also represents clients in Family Court Order of Protection matters.
Most recently, Jamie has successfully represented condo/coop boards and/or residential management companies to pursue alternative legal remedies to an eviction proceeding when faced with a tenant’s objectionable conduct in a multi-family residential building. She has represented such clients in Mental Hygiene Warrant applications to obtain a court-ordered mental health evaluation and in guardianship proceedings where the individual was unable to manage his/her personal and/or financial affairs.
