Jonathan A. Heller
Jonathan A. Heller is an Associate at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP in our Lake Success office, where he practices in the Medical Malpractice Defense group.
Mr. Heller received his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. In law school, he was the Managing Editor for Notes and Comments for the Family Court Review. He authored “The Chat Room Moderator: Creating a Duty for Parents to Control Their Cyberbully,” published in the January 2015 edition of the Review, which discussed using the Restatement of Torts to hold parents accountable when they know or should have known that their child was a cyberbully. Mr. Heller also spent a semester as a student attorney for the Hofstra Disaster Recovery Clinic, where he assisted multiple clients in legal matters that arose from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Mr. Heller was also a member of Student Association, where he was a Student Representative.
For his undergraduate studies, Mr. Heller attended Queens College, City University of New York, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts in Political Science and a minor in the Business and Liberal Arts Honors Program. He was an academic chair of the Queens College Student Government, and was a member of the inaugural Student Entrepreneurial Initiative, which designed a commemorative watch for Queens College’s 75th Anniversary. Prior to graduation, he received the Queens College Student Association Leadership Award.
Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, Mr. Heller practiced residential and commercial real estate law at a boutique law firm in Downtown Manhattan.
Mr. Heller is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
