Frank A. Mazzagatti
Frank A. Mazzagatti is a Partner in the Health Law Practice Group at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP.
Mr. Mazzagatti represents hospitals, health care providers, specialty pharmacies, group practices, diagnostic treatment facilities and ambulatory surgery centers in various transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, institutional funding and financing as well as provides guidance in matters concerning corporate governance, licensure and licensure defense, accreditation, governmental and third-party audits and federal and state corporate compliance. He has extensive expertise in representing clients in connection with healthcare fraud, waste and abuse matters. Mr. Mazzagatti’s practice also includes working with and representation of clients in front of various regulatory agencies and organizations such as the NYS Department of Health, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Office of Professional Medical Conduct, Office of Professional Discipline, Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, The Joint Commission, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities.
Mr. Mazzagatti also has over 20-years of experience as an executive healthcare administrator where he was involved in all aspects of hospital and healthcare management, including, but not limited to, governance (for-profit & not-for-profit), regulatory affairs, licensure, medical affairs, strategic planning and operations.
In 2020, Mr. Mazzagatti was appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University by Judge A. Gail Prudenti, Dean and Professor of Law.
Mr. Mazzagatti received his J.D. from The Hofstra University School of Law where he also received a concentration in Health Law.
