Amanda E. Seelmann
Amanda E. Seelmann is an Associate at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf and Carone, LLP in the firm’s Family and Matrimonial Law group working out of the Brooklyn office.
Throughout law school, Ms. Seelmann interned at Abrams Fensterman gaining general experience in all areas of law. She also spent time as a summer intern at the New York City Council in Governmental Affairs, Legislative Division. To further complement her course work, Ms. Seelmann affiliated with her law school’s Legislative Advocacy Clinic, where she conceptualized, planned, and implemented a campaign plan to pass youth voter registration and education legislation in the New York City Council. Ms. Seelmann was also a Student Advocate with the Diane Abbey Children and Family Center, where she represented victims of identity theft and marriage license fraud. During this experience, she drafted answers to complaints, gathered appropriate documentation, prepared clients for depositions, and appeared on the record before an administrative law judge in a marriage license hearing.
Ms. Seelmann earned her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. While in law school, Ms. Seelmann served as Vice Chair of the Moot Court Association and Training Coordinator of the Dispute Resolution Team. Due to her hard work and dedication to the Moot Court Association, Ms. Seelmann was honored with the Award for Serving with Distinction and the Order of Barristers. Ms. Seelmann earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Arts & Sciences at Penn State University. While at Penn State, she received an award for Academic Performance in Liberal Arts & Sciences.
Ms. Seelmann is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and is a member of both the New York State Bar Association and the Brooklyn Bar Association.
