Adina L. Phillips
Adina L. Phillips is an Associate at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone, LLP in the Family and Matrimonial Law group. Ms. Phillips has been with the firm for years, working as a paralegal in the Family and Matrimonial Law group while in law school.
While in law school, Ms. Phillips was a student attorney with the St. John’s Child Advocacy Clinic, representing children in abuse and neglect proceedings in Queens Family Court. Ms. Phillips also represented the clinic’s young clients in special immigration proceedings in both the state family court and federal immigration court systems. In addition, Ms. Phillips was an advocate in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition where her team won Third Place in the Northeast Regional and advanced to the Quarterfinals in the national competition.
Ms. Phillips is active in various legal organizations and associations, including, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association, the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Phillips is an active member of the Diversity and Inclusion, Matrimonial Law and Rising Stars Matrimonial Law Sub-Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association.
Ms. Phillips is dedicated to expanding diversity in the legal profession and providing pro-bono legal services whenever possible.
Ms. Phillips received her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law. Ms. Phillips earned her undergraduate degree from St. John’s University where she participated in a 10-day seminar in Paris as a Provost Scholar.
Ms. Phillips is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
