Adam D. Solomon is an Associate at Abrams Fensterman, LLP in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Law Practice Group.

 

Mr. Solomon’s practice focuses on Estate Planning and drafting of various estate planning documents such as Wills, Revocable, Irrevocable and Special Needs Trusts and health care proxies, powers of attorney, living wills and disposition of remains; Probate and Administration of decedent’s estates; and Trust & Estate Litigation. Mr. Solomon represents and advises both fiduciaries and beneficiaries with respect to beneficial interests and distributions and in various proceedings before the Surrogate’s Court, whether contested or uncontested, including Appointments, Will Contests, Turnover Proceedings and Fiduciary Litigation.

 

Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, Mr. Solomon was an associate at a boutique Long Island elder law firm, representing and advising clients in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Trust & Estate Litigation, and contested Guardianship matters.

 

Mr. Solomon is eligible for court appointments pursuant to Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge of the New York State Unified Court System as Court Evaluator, Attorney for the Alleged Incapacitated Person Guardian Ad Litem and Guardian to represent individuals who are minors, unknown heirs and incapacitated individuals before the New York Surrogate’s and Supreme Courts.

 

Mr. Solomon earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law where he was on the Dean’s List, served as Managing Editor of Staff for the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal and was a member of the moot court board. While attending law school, Mr. Solomon interned for the Disaster Recovery Law Clinic where he represented individuals suffering from the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy and was awarded the Clinical Legal Education Association’s Outstanding Clinical Student Award, which is awarded to only one individual or partnership per year. Mr. Solomon was also the recipient of the Linda Carmody-Roberts Scholarship; an honor bestowed on individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to pursuing careers in the fields of Trusts & Estates and Elder Law and received the Silver Pro Bono Service Award for dedicating over 500 hours of pro bono legal services. He graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

 

Mr. Solomon has been designated as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers New York Metro since 2020, a distinction earned by only 2.5% of attorneys in New York and an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice.

 

Mr. Solomon is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts & Estate Section and Elder Law and Special Needs Section and is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Section, New Lawyer Committee and We Care Fund Volunteer.
