Lawrence Kobak is a partner at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Greenberg, Formato & Einiger, LLP and the director of the firm's Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) and Office of Professional Discipline (OPD) practice.
Dr. Kobak works out of both the Lake Success and New York City offices.
Dr. Kobak's practice includes representing physicians in connection with licensure issues. He also maintains a personal injury practice focusing on lead paint cases and construction site accidents.
Dr. Kobak was the international president of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery. In that capacity, he helped draft the first set of practice guidelines in his profession that are still on the National Guideline Clearinghouse website.
Dr. Kobak recently updated the guidelines that were accepted by the government's website.
Dr. Kobak is a fellow of the Academy of Ambulatory Foot and Ankle Surgery, Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Ambulatory Division, Diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management, and Diplomate of the American Institute of Foot Medicine. Highly respected in his field, Dr. Kobak frequently serves as an expert witness before the New York State Office of Professional Discipline.
Dr. Kobak obtained his B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Queens College, CUNY, his D.P.M. from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and his J.D. from Touro Law School. In law school, Dr. Kobak was the valedictorian of the evening division, winning writing and New York practice awards along the way.
