Frank R. Seddio is a lifelong Brooklyn resident having been actively involved in the Canarsie community for over 40 years. He is a founding member of the law firm of SEDDIO & CARONE, PLLC which has merged with Abrams Fensterman LLP. He recently retired as the Judge of the Surrogate Court of Kings County. In this capacity he had presided over the estates of the 2.5 million people of the Borough of Brooklyn. During his tenure he has been responsible for making a myriad of changes in the policies and procedures in the Court to better adapt it to the needs of modern society.

Judge Seddio also served in the New York State Assembly from l998 to 2005, representing the Southeast portion of Brooklyn in the 59th Assembly District. He also served as a New York City Police Officer for over 23 years and is the former New York City Commissioner of Traffic Enforcement. Judge Seddio also held the position of District Manager, Community Board 18 and as Chairman of the same community board.

Judge Seddio is a graduate of Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Political Science, "Cum Laude" and of St. John's University, School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in June, 1990. He was admitted to the bar in 1991.

He is a member of the New York State and Brooklyn Bar Associations where he serves as the Chairman of the General Practice Section and the Legislative Committee. He is also a member of the Brooklyn Women's Bar Association and the Columbian Lawyers Association of Brooklyn.

Judge Seddio brought to the court 20 years of experience in the practice of law and most particularly in the fields of Estates, Trusts and Elder law.

As a community activist he has been responsible for many projects and improvements to the Canarsie area and its surrounding neighborhoods. He is most identified with his Annual Holiday Display which, each December, attracts thousands of local residents at the corner of East 93rd Street and Flatlands Avenue, to view a myriad festival of lights, animated dolls and attractions.

Judge Seddio has been an active member of the West Indian American Day Parade Committee for over 41 years. This organization is the sponsor of the annual Labor Day event on Eastern Parkway. He originally served as the Police Coordinator for this event and continues today as its legal counsel.
