Robert Abrams is Of Counsel at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Einiger, LLP.

A founding partner of Abrams Fensterman and a highly respected health care attorney, Mr. Abrams has presented programs to a variety of legal health care and professional organizations both across the state and nationally. He has also served as a legal expert for Fox Cable Television in connection with the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on assisted suicide, has appeared on Miller's Law, a national show that is featured on Court TV, and has been interviewed for numerous stories that have appeared on television and in the news media.

Mr. Abrams was selected by former New York State Governor Mario Cuomo to serve as a New York State delegate to the White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) in 1995. As a participant of the WHCOA, he was able to recommend national policy initiatives to fellow conferees. The Conference report was subsequently presented to President Clinton and the United States Congress.

Mr. Abrams chaired the planning of several New York State Bar Association programs, including Health Care Fraud and Abuse: Legal Implications for Attorneys and Health Care Providers, and Provider Paranoia: Fact or Fiction. He is co-author of Boomer Basics, a book published by McGraw-Hill that addresses personal, family and health issues that affect Baby Boomers, their children and parents. He is also the editor of the treatise entitled Guardianship Practice in New York State and the co-editor of the Legal Manual for Physicians, which was recently co-published by the Medical Society of the State of New York and the New York State Bar Association.

In addition to a law degree, Mr. Abrams earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from New York University. Mr. Abrams is also a New York State licensed nursing home administrator. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the New York State Bar Association. He is also the former Chair of NYSBA's Elder Law and Health Law Sections.
