Katie Barbieri is an associate at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Einiger, LLP.

Ms. Barbieri represents nursing facilities and private individuals in all aspects of securing Medicaid coverage.  Ms. Barbieri works closely with health care providers and consumers to assure accurate completion of all phases of Medicaid compliance, including the handling of documentation requests, reconsiderations, and Fair Hearings. 

Prior to joining Abrams, Fensterman, Ms. Barbieri worked with an Independent Living Organization preparing documents and memoranda for Medicaid fair hearings and defending agency decisions to change or discontinue services provided by the New York State Department of Health’s Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver Program.

Ms. Barbieri received her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law.  She received her B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  Ms. Barbieri is a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association and American Intellectual Property Law Association.  Ms. Barbieri is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and New Jersey.
